Day 11

Weight: 143.2lbs
Loss: 0lbs

No loss today, but no gain either.  Didn't drink a full gallon of water yesterday and had a potato skin as an appetizer to my dinner date that I went out on.  Becoming discouraged and know I'm not helping myself with these little cheats.

Must focus.

This morning I ran out of eggs so I had a few bites of plain oatmeal with a few slivers of fruit.  It was bland and gross so I tossed it.  Then an Americano with a little soy and Stevia.  Now contemplating tilapia for lunch.

Will keep you posted.

Day 10

Weight: 143.2lbs
Loss: .2lbs

.2lbs lost, finally! Must have been from my "apple day"...I promise it really started out as an apple day - I do!  But before I could put all the Coconut Secret cookies that I made in the freezer I had a bite of one.  Okay, now it's an apple day.  Had my first apple and some tea and that was all I wanted until about 2pm, then was getting a second apple ready when I spied some peanut butter...shouldn't have ever opened it.  Put a touch of healthy pb on the apple... And by the time dinner rolled around I figured since I'd already botched the apple day I'd make a small taco salad...with a tiny torn up piece of tortilla just so I could look at it pretty much and a splash of ranch to cool it off again - can't seem to figure out the correct level of spice I can take.  I am glad I had a little loss this morning because I was seriously contemplating just scrapping the protocol all together and making a lifestyle change to eat healthy (almost no fat/sugar) but have a few forbidden items for the duration of my drops.  I'm really glad that I saw a tiny bit of light at the end of my tunnel here with a little loss so I even want to continue trying.  I've speculated a thousand times about why I've stalled over the last 6 days - the first 5 without a single cheat!  Could it be bowel movements, menstrual cycles...what?  Could it be because I don't have a lot of weight to lose so I got down to that "hard to lose fat" that everyone talks about in a week rather than in 18+ days?  I don't know - but for all the hard work of self control, especially surrounded by food at both jobs for 10 or more hours a day, I wanted a LITTLE payoff to keep me going!  I guess I'm getting a little whiny right about here, so I'll stop.  End point is I'm glad I lost .2lbs :)

Going to do egg and toast for breakfast again today.  I haven't tried the cereal option because I can't find anything w/o sugar in it AT ALL so I'm stuck with the egg.  It was suggested to me to up my protein in the mornings to two eggs if I'm struggling with loss but, admittedly, I don't think I could stomach another egg without it sitting on a piece of bread.  So one egg this morning, an apple will be the snack, most likely some kind of left over taco salad for lunch, apple for next snack, and I'm thawing out some tilapia for dinner tonight to try for the first time.  Wish me luck today :)

Stevia!

I got my Sweetleaf brand Stevia with Vanilla Creme in it today! LOVE it in tea so far!  Can't wait to try sprucing up my Americano with it! Want to try the English Toffee flavor next... :)

Also, created a fabulous cookie recipe using the Coconut Secret products...anyone interested?  I'm thinking about starting a recipe page on here :)

Day 9

Weight: 143.4lbs
Loss: 0lbs

I had a really great day yesterday in Bozeman and I must admit I did cheat a little on the foods BUT didn't gain any weight.  As this blog seems to be my confessional and master tracker of all things consumed I'll start off with what I had yesterday.  After breakfast I went and made myself an 8oz soy latte with a hint of white chocolate...I was very surprised how sweet even that tasted with barely any flavor in it and how creamy it was.  Wow - if I can say one thing, it was totally worth every second of it.  I sipped that little drink until it was cold trying to make it last forever.  Pure love in a cup.  :)  For lunch we stopped at Pita Pit in Bozeman, I used Pita Pit's super cool online pita maker to figure out what was in my usual lunch there and then what might be an "acceptable cheat" (is there such a thing? lol).  I always have a gyro there but upon finding out it had over 700cal and a lot of sodium I decided to do a tuna pita instead.  Turned out to be about 340cal +/-... Not too bad.  Then went and bought ALL the Coconut Secret products at Rosauers!  I am VERY excited about these!  We used them to substitute the sugar and flour in some very awesome healthy pumpkin breakfast cookies - had a few of those after they were finished.  And then a chicken salad for dinner with a couple veggies that weren't on the list, a couple croutons, and a light/organic ranch dressing, though it still did have some fat and a little sugar on the label.  The day could have been MUCH worse, especially if  had gone about eating and drinking what I used to do before the protocol...I can't even fathom the number of calories, fat and sugar, I would have consumed otherwise!

You may have guessed then that today is an apple day! Taking the vitamins and 180 drops as usual today.  I read somewhere, maybe on the Dynamite FB page that during the time of month a woman is cycling she has a harder time losing.  Today is that lucky day for me so wondering if that has also been contributing to a slower weight loss...Still need to find some magnesium too speaking of trying to get the weight loss rolling again.

While I am discouraged with the slow weight loss I do realize that to achieve my goal weight of between 130lbs and 135lbs I only have between 8.4lbs and 13.4lbs to lose and I have 27 days left to get there.  Meaning if I wanted to lose, let's say 10lbs in 27 days, that's only about .38lbs a day.  Less than half a pound a day - I should be able to do that!  Especially knowing some days will be 1lb or more days.

I know I can do this - just have to stay focused.  I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.... :)
